I got this in yesterday it looked great. Put line on it today and tested it in the pond behind my house. It can��t cast at all, but I did catch a nice sunfish on it. The rod held up great but would like to replace the reel with a spinning reel.

I bought this little setup for my son to use when he's out golfing at the country club with his dad. It's small and fits in his golf bag. It's well made and a blast to fish with. He has caught several fish on it. He did change it to a 12 lb. test line so he could catch bigger fish with no problem. It casts nice and smooth and he couldn't be happier!

These are not a heavy duty set-up but will work in my pack well. Put thread lock on all screws before first use and be gentle when using it and you will have no problems

Perfect for back packing and light fishing.
Ordered it and received shortly ther after. It arrived in great shape. The instructions lack written and pictoral detail to guide you.
I figured out how to take it from the compact size to its fishing pole and reel and then back again to that compact design. Some force to dislodge the pieces was necessary. Just eye it and figure it out carefully. I wuold advise to do this at least 4 times until it is easy to do..

I like this rod because it is small and convenient. I could put this in my car console and go fishing whenever I wanted. I would not want to catch anything large with it, because I think it would break. You definitely could catch something. This would be a great gift for children and a fun stocking stuffer.

I love that the fishing pole and reel are so compact, and that you can take it with you while you are hiking and it doesn't take up much room. You do have to tighten it every so often but it does the trip for catching smaller fish. The kids love it, and it's pretty sturdy for what it is. The price can not be beat and you will get lots of use from it. Just knowing I have something if I need it while I'm out hiking gives me peace of mind, if I get in a tough spot!

Great pole for bream caught hundreds of them on this thing only complaint is the screw that holds on the reel comes loose but I just tighten it every couple of cast

I like having a rod and reel that I can fit in my pocket. I wouldn't try casting it, but ice fishing, off a dock, or off a boat it should work fine.

This product is quite the conversation piece. it's cute and it it really works. We took it on our boat and caught a couple fish. the size enables you to carry it anywhere, pocket, purse, bag... anywhere... you never know when your going to want to go fishing! great product

Yeah it is cheaply made and the reel is pretty much junk but the rod is suprisingly strong and it is fun to play with. For the price it is good for even a gag gift.

I thought I was going to recieve a piece of junk but this rod and reel is actually a pretty good item. You will have to be careful with it but it functions and could be used as an emergency food source item. I put it together and did some dry casting with no problems.
